Bought new by my father Mansour in 1983. Grew up with it, and it was my first car. Been in 4 major wrecks, saved my life twice. Meticulous exterior restoration following a severe rear-end collision began in Summer of 2012, with the majority of its bodywork done, including new rear quarter panels. In the summer of 2013, it received a full strip-down and twin-stage paint job, just in time for 30th anniversary of it being in the family. All body rust was removed beforehand.
Now, the car is covered and parked at the family residence in Northern California while I'm at school. I check up and work on it whenever I'm home and have the time to do so. It's definitely a slow-moving project but a LOT has been accomplished in the last several years. It gets stares everywhere I go, always a conversation starter on the street. Love it, and wouldn't want it any other way!
For 2014: Be expecting a completion of the exterior resto with the addition of most "little touches" here and there.
