  1. Hello all. I am a new member. I have a 1984/1986 505 STI 4 Door Coupe. It is a 84/86 because I had a 1984 but found a wreck 1986 and replaced the front of the crushed 1986 and it's doors with those from a 1984. Saved the newer car, got a 4 speed automatic out of the deal. Anyway. I recently moved to Las Vegas from New Jersey. I have failed the smog test twice now. The current failure is as follows: Idle Speed CO Result: 5.95% Notes: Greater than 1.20% Idle Speed HC 386 PPM Greater than 220 parts per million High Speed HC 250 Greater than 220 PPM I cleaned the filter and replaced the oil in it. Cleaned out all the gunk from inside the rubber connector. I found that there was a torn rubber cap on the rubber connector so I replaced it and zip tied the new one on. (Do not know what that intake on the connector was for.) Looking for advise on what to do to get these emissions down to a level so I can pass and get this car registered. I found this site from Brian Holm from Holm Peugeot where I get my parts. Thanks in advance for any advise you can give me. Regards to all, Tom
