I think so, but most are in good condition, I understand you are looking for only the glass part for left and right?
I will make some photo's

I have got a lot of rooms in various barns at the farm, so all cars can sleep inside. Also a nice place where I can work on the cars. But I have never really restored a car. I am looking all over Europe to find the well preserved ones. A bit of technical work is no problem, but bodywork is not my thing.

I have a quite large stock of used EU head and tail lights for 505's. I remembered that some US 505 drivers were looking for them but they were hard to find in the USA off course. So if somebody is still searching, I am willing to sell some sets, but they have to be shipped from Holland, Europe.

I took me some years, but I rediscovered the forum. I didn't know that the url has changed.
From my side also a lot of changes. I moved to an old farm with plenty of storage room. As a result, my collection did grew a lot:
My 505's: 3X V6 automatic, one SW8, one RHD GTI Familiale and one LHD GRI Familiale:
My cars from the 04 series:
104 GL6. Multiples times restaured: 4th engine, 3rd interieur etc. About 800.000km now!
204 cabriolet: restaured
504 pickup diesel: heavily used, but not rotten.
604 DTurbo: great original condition, 155.000kmOthers:
403 Break diesel. 100% original, only 40.000km!
205 Accent 1.1 240.000km
My wives cars:
306 Cabriolet automatic 75.000km
205 SW automatic 200.000km -
Well, the air flow meter wasn't the big problem after all. My mechanic reviewed the whole engine because I wanted a new distribution belt too. Apparently he turned the crankshaft over 180 degrees, the ignition 90 degrees. Tuned the valves clearance, changed sprak plugs, cables etcetera and the engine runs as never before with the old air flow meter!
-
Thanks for the hint, but first we are going to replace the distribution belt. It is 10 years old (30.000 miles) and it has been moved a bit. So that has to fixed first before we can really conclude the air flow meter is not working properly. Hopefully there is no damage due to this....
-
Still no response from my mechanic unfortunately, but he said sometimes was bent in the mechanical parts. We tried a used one from a Turbo engine, but that doesn´t work. I assume it´s another Bosch number. Next step he would do is trying to replace the bended parts from the original with ones from the Turbo model. At least we assume that mechanically they are the same and the difference in between the number is in the electronics and/ connector. But I am a bit afraid that something irreversible will happen and that I have no flow meter at all afterwards....

Hello everybody,
I have had a backfire in my 505 SW8 damaging my air flow meter at the air inlet. So I am looking for a new or good used one or a way to repair it. I have the 2.2 ZDJ engine but the flow meter looks, from the outside at least, the same as one from the Turbo versions.
Anyone has a spare one from me or other tips?

Great meeting and picture. Even in Europe a lot of cars are rarely seen, especially Panhards and Facels.
-
Hmm, that might be a good idea. The fabric is quite basic off course. But I have to find somebody who can do this.
Thanks for the tip!

For my 91 505 SW8 I need a new seatbelt. My drivers seat seatbelts is a bit worn down and won't pass the yearly technical test here. But those seat belts are in two parts, one roll seat belt around the waste and one going from the handbrake to fit on the door. It's the last one that is a bit worn down and I need to replace it. This is a system I have never seen and might be unique for late US models. Any idea were I can find a new of used seat belt for this model?

welcome back! that 204 looks great, would love to see more pictures of it when you get a chance.
andré
Thanks,
I will make some more pictures of the 204. I will give it a spin soon now the weather is better here in Holland. For now I have only these pictures of the 204 with very precious content.
Got also these picture together with the 304 convertible of a collegue of me. My 204 is 100% original. He restored his car for his own taste. Other rear lights, head lights, seats from a Rover 75 etc. etc. Fortunately the bodywork is still very much Peugeot.

Found a nice action clip of my Dangel, filmed by somebody when it did my first try on quite a steep slope. The second attempt was succesfull!

Totally true, thanks.

Updated the top post because many links were broken

Hi everybody,
Long time no see. I have to admit I kind of forgot about this forum. Have been busy with my new job and work on my new house. Anyway, time for some updates on my collection.
I always had a weak spot for the 204 and always want to have a convertible car. Due to the lack of 505 convertibles the 204 was second best for me, although quite rare too with 4000 produced. Nevertheless I have found one. A 1968 model, restaured in 1995 and still in great condition.
Another rare addition to my collection is this 405 Roland Garros, here in beautiful Toscany during my last holidays, a limited series with only 400 built as Break only, this is the only 405 equipped with the engine of the 205 1.9 GTI and all options available in the day except automatic transmission. So kind of a sports stationwagon. lol
And last but not least, my new SW8. I am always in search for the perfect 505. Last year or two I was looking for a 8 seater Familiale with Petrol engine with at least an automatic gearbox and cruise control. But automatic gearbox in europe is rare in a Break/Familiale and cruise control was rare for any car in the eighties in europe. So after two years never finding a euro spec car with these options, a friend of me offered me his SW8. US models are always better equipped than european ones. With the ZDJL engine, automatic gearbox, all electric windows and locking with remote, cruise control and airconditioning, this 505 is as complete in option as they can be. From 1991, it has driven only 60.000 miles. Coming months I will built in a radio with 10CD changer in the boot, also a rare item from that era. Photos are taken at an event a few years ago with the former owner behind the wheel and me (the bold guy) leaning against my GTDT of the time.
-
Well, last year my collection changed a lot. I'm at 5 505's now which can be easily parted in a collection of beauties and beasts.
First the beauties.
The 85 GRD Familiale, 100.000 miles, full options.
The 87 GTDT intercooler, 50.000 miles, dayly driver.
The 90 GR Dangel, 100,000 miles
All in very good nick and garaged at my house, quite different from the beasts:
The 87 V6 manual, 200.000 miles. Great car, looks not that bad due to a recent paintjob, but has quite some rust.
The 86 GTDT for parts. This one really has seen much better days.
Unfortunately the last 2 are garaged and the farm of my parents at 3 hours from my house. Not very practical.
-
Hi Walter, didn't know you were active here too!
-
Time to present my new car: a 505 GRD Familiale from 1985 full options. Maybe not that rare in the US, but it has airconditioning, which is very rare in Europe. Also elecrtic eindows, power steering and central locking of course. It has also a CD player for 10 CD's which is not original I quess. Only 100.000 miles, which is not a lot for this reliable non-turbo 2.5 diesel engine. Originally from Spain, so no rust, good paintwork, only a few small dents.

Fantastic collection! I used to live not too far south from Eindhoven, a LONG time ago. My Dad had a 404 KF2 sedan, AFCENT plates AFC 84288.
Getting a 404 C is a good idea! There are a couple hundred of them there!
Thanks, that's a conincidence? Where did you live exactly?
There are some 404 cabrio's left here, but one in good condition goes easily above $10.000. I know somebody here in Eindhoven who is willing to trade his white 404 cabrio with my Dangel, but its bodywork and paint have seen better days... I'll stick to my Dangel for the moment.
You might have seen me on the dutch Peugeot forum, I saw that you're constantly working on updates on your list of 404 VIN numbers.
-
how were the dangels originally sold? did one bring the car to them for conversion, or did they use new factory cars & sell them through dealers?
andré
Most Dangels were bought by govermental organisations directly, but everybody could order one at a Peugeot dealership. Dangel is however an independent factory which does also conversions for Fiat en Citroen.

Great car, the XM and extremely rare in the US I suppose.
There might be a problem getting license plates in the US when you import a XM, otherwise you can pick up one with such mileage in Holland for less than US$1000! Include shipping and you're still cheaper than this one but maybe not road legal in the US then.

It took a while, but this afternoon I tested it on a circuit for motorcross and made some interior pictures too:
Not much different from another Familiale, only between the front seats the controls for the 4X4 transmission are inserted: high/low gear and difflock. The orange light indicates if the diff is locked.
I wisely skipped this part of the track:

I have a bumper on my SW8, but it has some damage, mainly parts of the 'chrome' strip are missing. If anybody has a new one or the 'chrome' strip at least, I can make the car perfect again.
