  1. Looking good Trevor!

My 86's Speedo seemed to stop at 120 MPH even though it felt that I was picking speed. It failed twice, just before I bought the car and a couple months later. My Dad's 505GR back in the day had the same problem, no wonder, however the rest of the gauges worked remarkably well. The GR had no tacho so I guess all we had to contend with was the gas gauge (petrol gauge) and the water temp.

  2. Thanks a lot PugNut. I have always wondered as to the identity of the car and its specs...and I find it interesting that what was done to it actually is a "restoration" to what the factory said it was. Any possibility of pics? I have never seen an 89 in person...only an 88 that I came this close to owning.

    Nice avatar August!

  3. Interesting stuff. Most of these are Indonesian Pugs and the owners I believe do a lot of fabrication and smart thinking. I like the 505 Kat though...rather plain and looks like a factory edition....is it?

P.S. You know you are a Peugeot nut when you have seen all the pics in this post at least 3 yrs beforehand....

  4. Sweet - I was at the Edmonton Grand Prix!

It was pretty cool.  Great track - 90000 people on race day!  I believe Edmonton broke the Champ car attendance record as well as day 1 practice attendance records.

We had the "cheap" seats, but the best racing was on the section in front of us - very cool indeed.

Once our car club site gets moved I'll be posting pics as well so I'll keep you guys updated on when they go up.

As an aside, 505T - you and I have visually the same car.  Check out White 505turbo pics

Sweet Ride Bean. Hopefully I can ressurect mine and get started on intensive mods...tastefully done of course.

  5. I remember watching a documentary on TV when that concept was first shown and they had an hour exclusive on it. I was just a kid and at the time it was mind-blowing. I like the concept because it LOOKS like a Peugeot. That is important in my opinion for a concept car...ID.

I am still praying for the Peugeot 907 to be somehow produced. Anybody know what the status is on that? How about the 407 Silhouette?

  6. Please post pics. I would have loved to attend but couldn't make it this time. I understand a 10 year contract has been signed, so I guess there'll be more opportunities in the future. Perhaps we can make a Peugeot meet in the future and attend the race in one weekend....hows about that?
