  1. For many years the Citroen Owner's Club sponsored an annual Citroen gathering.  Today, The Citroen Rendezvous is an annual gathering place for Citroens, Peugeots, Renaults and other fine French motor cars.  According to the Citroen Rendezvous website, "The Citroen Rendezvous is the largest gathering of Citroens in North America, taking place annually on Father's Day weekend in Saratoga Springs, NY. It is the people who make the event special. Friends, family, and other enthusiasts are warmly welcomed, as are other French, European, and just plain quirky cars."  The Citroen Rendezvous will be held from 14-17 JUNE 2018.  Fine French automobiles will be shown on Saturday, 16 JUNE from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Lakeside Farms, Ballston Lake, NY.  Lakeside Farms is just minutes off of Exit 11 on Interstate 87/Adirondack Northway in Upstate New York.  I encourage all Peugeot 203, 403, 404, 304, 504, 505, 604, 405 and all owners to attend this enjoyable and educational event.

  2. The "NEW" and updated Peugeot 508 series appears to be quite an improvement over previous 407 and 508 designs.  I'm impressed with the overall exterior and interior photos of the 508.  However,  the rear of the car appears to be more Japanese design compared to European design.  I prefer to see the license plate between the rear lights and not integrated into the rear bumper.  The "NEW" 508 Estate/Sport Wagon appears to be no larger than a hatchback.  Peugeot should reinvent the "large" wagon and utilize their previous expertise in extended chassis wagons such as the Peugeot 404, 504 and 505 series.  Although Peugeot's design studio develops some fine motor cars.  Peugeot should utilize the design expertise of Pininfarina to better their designs and make them above and beyond a "generalist" manufacturer.  Back in the 1970's and 1980's Peugeot was referred to as "The French Mercedes."  One Mercedes-Benz of North American employee once stated that if Peugeot Motors of American knew how to market their cars correctly, (especially the Peugeot Diesel wagons), Mercedes-Benz would have a direct competitor for about half the price of their cars.  If Hyundai and Kia can excel in the North American, Peugeot Motors of American should be able to be successful with a combination of super reliable products, outstanding warranties, high quality U.S./Canadian dealers with exclusive showrooms/service areas for Peugeots only and a corporation that fully supports the dealers and customers.

  3. I am the proud owner of several fine Peugeot motor cars and bicycles.  My 1984 Peugeot 505 "S" (XN6, 2.0L) sedan with around 36,000 original miles has a problem restarting after an extended period of time.  The 505 is used only during the Summer.  During the day the engine will start up immediately when warm.  If I park the car for an extended period of time the engine has difficulty restarting.  Eventually, the engine will restart.  The battery is a new Bosch unit.  The problem does not appear to be electrical, but fuel related.  Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you all in advance.  Sean
