Motor is at tdc. Checked and checked again. Just got done removing cover and adjusting intake and exhaust valves all over again. Will attempt again in the morning

Check your pulleys. Happened in 06 when I kept throwing a belt.....AC pulley was bad and damaged compressor in process

So I got the head gasket, new rings, put everything back together by the book, got spark but the car still will not start. It sounds sluggish while attempting to crank it up. Got gas, got spark but somehow that's not enough...... What am I missing???

Manual. Talked the guy down to $300 or basically paid the guys city violation tickets to haul off the car. Sold it by end of the day to a friend. The motor fired right up and honestly sounds better than my 89. For some reason it won't let me post more pics......

You guys are hilarious!!! Ok I don't know if you know Madhu on here but he's easily the number one vendor if not number two. He sold me a whole set and just told me that they're aftermarket and should fit. My buddy owns the shop and Audi owners pay really well. To be honest we'd have finished this build and his 72 Mercedes 6 months ago but there's always an Audi A6 or A8 needing timing lol. I'm about to post a peugeot that's for sale down the street. I agree that replacing one set of rings would be ignant as hell lol

I need some help here. I bought these rings from Madhu but they look different from mine. Cant seem to get a hold of him so was wondering if you guys could tell me if they would work based off that part number??? Thanks. Ps.... I also have a stack of manuals that might come in handy for someone.......

1989 Peugeot 505....... $1500 only because its not running right now and I need to find time and replace the rings that's causing me to lose compression. Car is perfect though....it would be hard to take that unless you caught me on a bad day

It's NOT the same car. The owners stress that very clearly. The google car has plastic headlights with the glass insert but the car in the CL posting had the glass headlights. The google car has "rust issues" as well.

Buyer beware; the car in the picture is not the same car on sale. Spoke to someone and they even sent pictures of the car in question. It is a business so you can only catch them during the day. A person selling it on their behalf can be reached on 310-409-5842. Apparently car runs then suddenly shuts off/dies so it's something else and not the starter. Starting price is $1000

Saw it on Craigslist in Cali. Not gotten a returned call but number is 310-715-6034. Would have bought it if they answered but figure I'd share with someone closer to Cali interested in project or parts.

Stopped by Rob's shop today. I'm always stopping by there since he's 3-4 doors from me. Was looking for a turbo hose.....the ribbed one.... even he hasn't seen one in 8 years. Time to get creative....... Might just do all hoses while at it..... if I can find them.

Look up my thread "head Gasket Set" and the person I bought the car from has three donor cars with all your mentioned parts. Even has the wheels on two of them.

Met Rob!!! Took a tour of his shop, a few Pugs he has and about 9 beautiful Citreons. Let me tell you this guy was just cool to hang around and chill with for a few. I left his shop with a big smile. He is truly a really cool guy. Sorry for the late post but I will upload some pics of his cars. Learnt something new........my Peugeot is a 2.1 Turbo.....hmmmmmmm
Also in other news; Madhu shipped a gasket set for me..... Will check my toy out in the morning
