The forum is making my "Safari" browser quit unexpectedly. This has been going on for sometime.
Oh no, 505T is a mac user?
I truly apologize 505T, make sure Safari is up to date (system update should take care of this). We tried to get the site as cross platform compatible as possible, but the Apple's were just giving us hell (and apologies for the weird looking DHTML menu's as well).
I would suggest trying the following browsers:
1. Camino
2. Firefox
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
We do intend to fix the mac problems in the future, but for now, sit tight

I would ideally like to find a used one, but a new one would work as well. Any info appreciated. Please contact me via PM.

The following is a procedure posted by Joe Grubbs to the Peugeot-L Mailing list back in 2002. Special thanks to Joe for letting us use this on 505turbo.com!
TPS adjustment is a long and annoying process. You need to obtain some alligator test leads from RadioShack. The adjustment is performed with the engine off and the TPS disconnected. BTW unless the TPS is *grossly* out of adjustment, the engine will likely idle and handle light-part load just fine. It is unlikely that your problem can be fixed by just adjusting the TPS.
- First measure the battery voltage
- Multiply this number by 0.166
- Remember this number--this is going to be the TPS adjustment voltage, we'll call it "X"
- Using the test leads, connect the battery across the resistor portion of TPS. The orange wire goes to (+) and the black wire goes to (-). Use an inline circuit breaker or fuse
- Connect the (+) probe of the DVOM to the green wire (wiper)
- Connect the (-) probe to the negative battery terminal
- Test this setup by watching the meter. With a closed throttle it should be around 2 volts. Open the throttle all the way and it should read almost battery voltage
- Loosen the two 3mm screws on the TPS a little and adjust until the reading on the meter is "X"
- Carefully and equally tighten the screws--keep an eye on the meter because the adjustment will likely drift as you torque the TPS down. This is annoying part of the procedure

OK, finally time for some updates!
We've decided to re-order the form, and add a few new topics. I'm hoping this will better organize the increasing content we're producing. If any of you have any suggestions, or think we should change something please let us know here!
Classifieds:
There was a separate classifieds section with a forum for things For Sale, and another one for Wanted. Meanwhile there was a for sale/wanted thread in the general section which is just redundant. We've taken all the posts from the "Classifieds" section, and moved them to the single "For Sale/Wanted" forum in the general section. (If there is more traffic in this section in the future, we can split it up again).
Technical Resources / Technical Discussion:
Technical Resources was originally created for posting technical articles, manual's, procedures etc.. What we're going to do is move all the Technical *questions* out of that section into "Technical Discussion". Technical Resources has been changed so that if an article, or resource is posted, you may comment, but not start a new thread on your own. Technical discussion on the other hand is an open forum to post, upload pictures, etc etc.
RSS Feeds:
Yeah I know it's kind of a joke due to the forum being fairly low traffic as far as updates / changes are concerned, but for those of us who are all over RSS, there will be options. I still need to test / design how we're going to set this up, but as of now I'm thinking we'll have a feed for each forum and sub-forums. Feed's will be updated every 30 minutes.
Lastly the TPS adjustment procedure JG posted to peugeot-l in 2002 has been posted in the tech section of the main site. I've also posted this in the Technical Resources section of the forum. At some point it'd be nice to combine all the technical resources / articles into one organized section without breaking any current links, but that will be later on down the road.

Sorry about that Metako! I've raised the global upload limit, you should be able to post your pictures now.

Just finished a few small updates. Enjoy!

Why not just add -> others and keep this for 505 turbos basically?
V-M
V-M: We definitley won't be getting rid of any current posts. We have a lot of great info, and I don't want that to go anywhere.
I've thought of sorting some of the general posts to more specific threads after they are setup, but this is going to break any bookmark, etc.. The forum does have a great search feature, but....
I like Bean's idea on the seperate threads for different series Peugeot's, as well as a thread dedicated to performance tuning and upgrades.
I would still like to see what other people have to say.

Back when we setup this forum, we went back and forth on how to set it up:
- Create lots of topics for 405, 505, 504, 505 turbo tuning, etc etc.
This was considered, but eventually we went away from this idea because we didn't want 3 posts in all forums. It'd make the forum look like it has NO traffic, so why bother posting!
- Create fewer topics, and one main general thread which is where most discussion would take place for the time being
(How it's setup now).
But now that we've been getting more traffic on the site, we're wondering what all you would think about splitting up the forum into a little more specific categories.
Of course the title of the site is 505 Turbo specific, but we'd really like to make this a forum for all Peugeot owners.
Maybe add a 405, 505, and 505 tuning/performance threads?
Suggestions?

message # 61138. titled 'Mi16 no spark'
You should all be able to follow this thread in our Peugeot-L archives:

We have just added a new section to our website: Readers rides
Yq397r is the first member listed, which can be found here:
http://www.505turbo.com/readers_rides.php?fa=Yq397r
If you would like your car posted as well, e-mail or PM me with the following format:
- Year - Model - Engine
- Complete description, modifications, future modifications, or anything related.
- Full sized images

This was actually a very old message. We had 2 general threads when we first set the forum up. The other one was redundant, so we got rid of it.
I know what you mean about the forum only seeming to have one thread, but here's the problem:
This forum doesn't get much traffic. If we divide it into other sections, it'll start to look empty, which we don't want. If we start to get more traffic it will definitely get divided into sub-sections.

Welcome to the forum brownie!
You have a very nice 505 GTi indeed.
-
Those 18 inch rims have gotta make the ride harsh!
-
Really nicely done. It'd be great to know some details about whats been done, and what upgrades are in use.

Happy 2006 everyone!
2 updates:
Enjoy!

Happy Holiday's everyone!
We are going to try to focus on our technical section this upcoming year. If anyone has any documentation or technical resources please let us know!

This is a great one. Jean Ragnotti is driving the crap out of his Renault, and does a 360 across the finish line on the last lap. There's also a quick shot of what looks like the 505 "SUPER Production" race car.
Check the Video's page for screenshot and details, or click on the link below to the raw movie:
Enjoy!

Also, this car supposedly uses the 0 280 150 200 injectors which were supposed to come with the US Spec N9TEA's. (300cm3/min @ 3.0bar FP)

Metako: If you don't mind me asking, where have you found upgraded sway bars and urothane bushings for the 505 turbo?
I'm not sure about the other items, but I'm cuerious to see what you find.
Please keep us updated!

The language barrier is the largest for me. I'm sure there's some great info on that forum though. I should really think about taking some french classes.

This is a picture of the engine bay of the 200cv 'Production' 505 Race car. A few interesting points:
- AFM with blue cover, different then US spec?
- Pipe tapping into the back of the intake manifold?
- Different brake master cylinders
- Different throttle cable wheel (for more throttle response?)
Let us know if anyone out there has any details on the highlighted items, or has any technical info on the setup this car (or similar 200cv kits) used!

Excellent find once again Toni!!!
I've added the video's to the Video's section of the site. I wish the music wasn't quite so loud as it'd be nice to hear that monster of an engine! Did you all see the turbo? Jesus!
Any idea who the webmaster is for that site? Or how I may be able to contact him/her? I'd love to get a link up on their "Liens" page

Happy holiday's all!
The 2 new Nicolas Halogen 505 turbo race car video's have been added to the Video's section of the website. Enjoy (If you haven't already seen them )
If anyone know's how I can get in contact with the webmaster for the halogen505 website could you please let me know? (http://heligon505.free.fr)
~webmaster
PS. I'll try to get an accurate screen capture for the second video. The one on the souce website was half loaded and i'm not sure why I can't take capture's from wmv format movies.

We are going to try out Google's Adsense program for a while to see how well they can index our site. We figure if they can do a good job, and will serve a PURPOSE to help us find places online to buy what we are talking about, then it will add to the forum overall. If they are a nuisance, and non-helpful we will get rid of them though.
