Goce
On my daily driver 605 i had a rust spot at the bottom of the door, probably someone scraped it and last year i ground it off used rust converter, primed and painted it, couple of months later i returned, now i've noticed one more spot on another door, i remove the door panel and there's absolutely no rust on the inside and the seam is intact, has anyone dealt with this problem, any advice? Mike T
Hmmm I would use a cold galvanising compound like Zinga to coat the cleaned metal, then paint it. Failing that, media blast the door and then redo the finish from the beginning. If i keeps coming back, maybe there is some pinhole perforation. Goce
I had to google the Zinga but quickly find out it's cold zinc coating , which is a good idea, i don't think is bad enough to send blast, those cars supposed to have 80% of their panels zinc coated from the factory, i'll try to get to it this weekend.
