KB_fiver89
So I got the head gasket, new rings, put everything back together by the book, got spark but the car still will not start. It sounds sluggish while attempting to crank it up. Got gas, got spark but somehow that's not enough...... What am I missing???
Bean
Is rotor pointing at #1 with motor at tdc on compression stroke? Do you have a timing light to confirm it's firing in time? Do you have fuel pressure at fuel rail? (Or can you hear fuel pump cycles?) Rabin
SRDT
You got gas coming to the injectors but can they open?
KB_fiver89
Motor is at tdc. Checked and checked again. Just got done removing cover and adjusting intake and exhaust valves all over again. Will attempt again in the morning
Bean
You need to make sure it's TDC on the compression stroke, and the rotor is pointing at the #1 plug wire terminal - this ensures everything was reassembled properly and that the firing order timed correctly. If you have spark when cranking then it should fire on a puff of starting fluid which means you have a fuel issue. Rabin
SRDT
+1 for the starting fluid.
