bluebenz76
The clear section of my taillights (reverse lights) are not so clear anymore. Dirty and probable mildew also. I removed the tailights (and the circuit board of course) thinking the inside would be easy to clean but it ain't so. The inside of the reverse light section is very difficult to access. I tried to put some diluted CLR inside and then rinse but no success. Was anybody able to do a good job with another method, or any ideas? pug505usa
MIne is a diesel so the driver side back tail light is really darkened... Not sure either... Plus the plastic is so old that it seems very fragile...
andrethx
the one suggestion that i've heard about this is using tilex (a bathroom cleaner). it's pretty obnoxious stuff, so you don't want to breathe in any of it, but apparently it's safe on plastic and fairly strong as far as those types of cleaners go... andré
Peugey
Some say toothpaste can be used to clean the tail lights but I haven't tried it yet. You can use a degreaser to get rid of any caked-on grime if you're cleaning the inside part of the tail lights. Completely dry by wiping with a cloth or a paper towel before putting them back on.
