  1. Selling my friend's Peugeot collection for his widow. 2 diesel cars, 604 with engine installed (was running when it was parked in the shop a couple of years ago...), and a 505 with the engine removed. Includes (2) diesel engines in the shop (minus the stands), many, many extra parts and a good selection of manuals. Asking $2700.00 for the whole collection. I am no Peugeot expert by any means, so please peruse the photos I have included and feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to provide reasonable answers. I'm really hoping this collection can go to someone who will appreciate it! Reasonable offers considered. Thanks, Larry
  2. I'm looking for a 505/604 diesel coolant expansion tank and you find cheap ones in Argentina, the thing is that just by looking at the plastic you can tell that it's not as good as OEM. So the question is are they worth buying and installing or do you have to change them after one year or two? And now for those interested it's story time, I want one to see if it can be made to fit on a 309 GTI16. On this car Peugeot used the exact same part except that they moved the nipple under the tank away from the exhaust manifold. GTI16: OEM 505 made in Argentina: Non OEM 505, it could be better as it's closer to the firewall: Maybe with a little plumbing and an heat shield GTI16 owners will have an OEM-looking alternative to worn out and overpricied water tanks.
  3. 604 Brochure.pdfSince I've been in kind of a 604 mood lately, here's a PDF and image files from a brochure my dad brought home with the 1979 604 that eventually became my first car. This is an interesting brochure, in part because it appears to describe an SL model that never actually reached North America in the form described. The Euro headlights were only available in Canada, and the headlight-leveling feature was disabled in the Canadian cars, and quite probably never installed in the US-market cars as they used a completely different headlight arrangement. I really enjoy the language Peugeot used in their sales literature. It assumes a certain level of sophistication in the reader, and is far more enjoyable to read than the knuckle-dragging tag lines of today. Please forgive the condition of the brochure; it's been well-loved over the years and is one of my most cherished pieces of Peugeot memorabilia. And I have not found another like it on eBay after quite a few searches. Enjoy the read! 604 Brochure.pdf
  4. Hi All, I came across this 604, a running, driveable project The transmission does not work in reverse, the brakes barely work (bad booster diaphragm?), the carpets have been removed, door cards and seats are shot, as is dash, ignition switch, There is a minimal exhaust system, with sidewinder trumpet. The roof had lots of surface rust so the owner cleaned and panted it with a bed liner type sealant. but the body and paint are in remarkable condition. I drove it around the block while the civilized world was at prayer, and the engine pulled well, the steering and suspension were tight. I am interested in the car, mostly for the engine and maybe the goofy low bean LEDs. I plan to buy it.. Would anyone be interested in buying the body (complete car, less engine) or trading the car for an engine,
  5. Hello Everyone, I recently bought my first Peugeot a few months back (1979 french market 604 turbo diesel 5-speed) and I'm super thrilled with it. However, the car came equipped with a set of TRX tires were made before I was born (though they have plenty of tread!). Obviously, before I introduce it to any kind of speed, I'd like to get a new set of tires. Since TRX tires are the worst, I'd like to go ahead and find another set of wheels that fit and are not TRX. Best case scenario, I can find the same style, but in 15" form. I'll attach some photos of the style I'm talking about (first picture is my car, second is of non-TRX of the same style on a 504 coupé). At this point though, I'm willing to consider any 4x140 wheels. I don't really need the tires since I plan on buying a fresh set, but I wouldn't turn them down. Anyone got any sets of wheels lying around they'd like to get rid of? Thanks!!
