  1. 1986 Peugeot 505 STI for sale in Las Vegas, NV. 125000 miles, 2.0 litre engine. The car runs, AC works but is a bit weak. Sunroof will not close completely. Dent at driver rear quarter panel where i was victim of hit and run. I think it can be hammered out.. Rear bumper on driver side pushed forward from same attack. Paint is well worn and she is covered in flat black plasiti-dip, which just peels off. Per local mechanic the "control bars" are badly rusted, the catalytic converter is coming apart inside and the rear calipers need to be replaced. Brian Holm says it is better to just rebuild the brakes and he has a caliper rebuild kit but it must be done carefully to preserve the integrity of the hand brake. The stock radio is gone. I put in a replacement which I would like to keep since it has a cd changer attachment. All outer door handles need replacement. The passenger mirror is sagging and both mirrors must be set manually as electric control stopped working. Be advised this was an East Coast (aka New Jersey) car. Been here in Las Vegas for 2 years now. We drove it out here without any issues. Cruise control is not functional. (Solenoid control broke.) MAKE ME AN OFFER.
  2. My 1986 505 STI is dead in the water. The electronic pickup in my Duceller Distributor 525213A is fried. Even Brian Holm my Peugeot Parts dealer from New Hampshire is unable to help me this time. Does anyone know where to find a replacement transducer pickup or an entire distributor for this car ??? or is there a different distributor I can use. FYI This is a replacement engine that Alberto from Ramsey Peugeot in NJ installed and it has worked fine for 6 years now so I am quite sure the engine is vehicle appropriate. Thanks in advance
  3. Hello all. I am a new member. I have a 1984/1986 505 STI 4 Door Coupe. It is a 84/86 because I had a 1984 but found a wreck 1986 and replaced the front of the crushed 1986 and it's doors with those from a 1984. Saved the newer car, got a 4 speed automatic out of the deal. Anyway. I recently moved to Las Vegas from New Jersey. I have failed the smog test twice now. The current failure is as follows: Idle Speed CO Result: 5.95% Notes: Greater than 1.20% Idle Speed HC 386 PPM Greater than 220 parts per million High Speed HC 250 Greater than 220 PPM I cleaned the filter and replaced the oil in it. Cleaned out all the gunk from inside the rubber connector. I found that there was a torn rubber cap on the rubber connector so I replaced it and zip tied the new one on. (Do not know what that intake on the connector was for.) Looking for advise on what to do to get these emissions down to a level so I can pass and get this car registered. I found this site from Brian Holm from Holm Peugeot where I get my parts. Thanks in advance for any advise you can give me. Regards to all, Tom
  4. Hello all. Been a while since I have been back here, something like 2009. Anyhow, I now have an 84 STi. The air conditioning was working till last week. Relay behind the drivers headlight was buzzing while the AC was on previously like it was weak, now the compressor wont kick in, and the relay seems dead. I pulled the relay apart, looks like some black contacts on the "on" side, but even after cleaning those up it wont switch over. Ditto when replacing the relay with a known good one. So I need to know a very few things. First, is that relay even for the compressor, and second, is there an inline fuse I should be looking for? Any other advice much appreciated! Thank you in advance. Figures the day it gets to 80 is the day the AC decides to not come on
