  1. I'm Jim Schlick's brother Paul. I found my way here to make sure you knew that the last 10 of Jim's Peugeots are currently on auction but found that Mike T has it covered. The lots including his Peugeots close on Sat. Jan 21. Thanks to Mike for his nice comments about Jim. I know he had many Peugeot friends in Canada. Jim was in a serious auto accident in early 2014 that restricted his mobility. He was able to make do and still live alone but wasn't able to drive a manual after that so most of the cars (and his Harley) sat unused in what we called the 'pole barn'. We would get several out for his annual October 'car show' (really just an excuse to socialize and look at cars), in honor of his late wife Pam, for display and to make indoor space for people to gather but they weren't driven on the road and a few hadn't moved in years. I'm sure you know that older Peugeots take a fair amount of TLC and these will as well. The auction descriptions tell which have run recently and which have not but all at least turn over. The estate executor and family decided to sell them as is rather than spend the time and money on mechanics to bring them up to roadworthy condition. I have attached some photos of what his collection looked like in recent years and a photo of Jim (on the right) with Steffen Moller, and me that was taken in the pole barn in 2012. Also FYI, the red 204 cabriolet on auction was the focus of a 2006 Hemmings article that gives background on how Jim & Pam became Peugeot collectors: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/article/gallic-bred-peugeot I'm pleased that some of you were able to get some of his parts inventory and sorry to hear that others ended up on eBay at high prices. Hopefully, the cars will go to people who really appreciate them. And thanks to anyone who reads this who knew Jim. He got a lot of satisfaction out of his Peugeots and much of that was from interactions he had with you and other Peugeot fans. Hope your year is off to a great start! Paul Schlick Minnesota I don't know if I'm posting this where people will see it. If not, move it to a better spot.
