  1. Hello, I have owned this 505 for 10 years now. But circumstances in my life are changing and I need to sell it. Mechanically the car is great. The engine was swapped from a 2.3 to a 2.5. That 2.5 has a known history. it has about 65k miles on it. The reason for the low miliage can be verified by Rob Courtier, Garage Courtier in Dallas TX. The engine was a warranty exchange years ago on one of his customers. This customer eventually wrecked the car and the engine was saved and stored in a storage for over 2 decades. I purchased the Engine on December 2015. Since then I have driven the car very sparingly. I can give proof for all this upon request. The Bosch pump is a brand new one I bought from Dubar garage in California a few years ago The wheels were converted to 15 inches, Brand new tires, Brand new motor mounts, All hoses are brand new. Radiator was rebuilt by a local radiator shop. Brand new Alternator. The body itself is in poor condition. the car drives great but it does look bad. - There are 2 dents on the roof from a tree leaf that fell years ago I have done lots of repair on it. - There is a small rust spot underneath on the driver side - a fender bender occurred on the rear driver side door. i replaced the door but it still shows. - the interior is worn and old. - All AC related accessories, Cruise control accessories were removed. It was too expensive to fix so I did away with it. I simplified the car to its basics I have quite a bit of spare parts I can give with it. it is a 5 speed. it drives great, straight on the highway. It will drive wherever it takes you. The value of the car is the mechanical part. If you want a show car this is not the right body. If you want a diesel with low mileage this is the one! I also have a spare 5 speed transmission that works just fine and a spare 2.3 turbo diesel that I also purchased from Rob Courtier. That 2.3 has about 200 K More pictures upon request. I can facetime also and show you the engine running.
  2. Thank you Guys for the help... SRDT I did validate the wire 104, 101 and 20 are correct. I also remember never removing them off the relay. Since my care is originally an XD2S I checked the service manual for that engine and I fgound what those 3 extra wires are (see photo below). I am still not sure what MA, MR/M1 and M3 are. I know M means ground but I can't find the code for the extra letter. Also if M3 touches metal gound it sparks and become real hot to melt. I am wondering too if the problem is elsewhere... ? Goce, I am going to do this test on the relay tonight just to be sure and I can hear the click... thank you for the info. Also I have a brand new spare relay that I swapped but I have the same result. Also the red light on my dash never comes on
  3. sorry just reposting this picture with marking so one can see the wires in question... the one with an X is the one hot.
  4. Here are some pictures to help see what I am dealing with... The 4 green wires. 1 of them sparks and is hot when touching metal.
  5. Thank you Goce and SRDT! The one I have is the light blue Paris-Rhone/Valeo one that came with the car... I am going to check on it further. Man I am so close!! Other than that the engine turns but without the glow plug I cannot start it up...
  6. Does anyone has a picture of how the glow plug relay is wired? I think I had it right at one point but it started to smoke... Is there a basic test someone knows to test that it works? I wonder if I damaged it now...
  7. I am done with my rebuild. I have tons and tons of pictures... I will post them soon... I am struggling right now with some wiring issue around the glow plug relay. I hope to get this resolved soon and crank the engine.
  8. still working on the rebuild....this summer I took the block and head to a machine shop. I needed oversized pistons close to 94.8. My head had a few bad cracks that can be fixed. All this is very expensive beyond what I thought i could afford. I decided to go another route when I was able to buy a working used xd2s from a former Peugeot Mechanic... Now 2 of my children got married this summer and so I was broke for a while. Now i am able to resume the work... still hanging... I am determined to get this car running again... Emmanuel
  9. Well, I have the whole engine taken apart in pieces... everything is meticulously put away in zip-lock bags and boxes... I dropped my block and my Cyl head to a machine shop who is working on telling me what I need to do... he is bit backup up right now so I don't have the whole prognosis yet. but he has told me that for sure I will need some oversized pistons... and this is where I started to be discouraged a bit... they are very expensive I am not quitting but I think this rebuild is going to take me a while to save and buy parts at a time... Emmanuel
  10. sorry for the delay... but I got it off weeks ago but forgot to respond... Here are a couple of pics. The groove on the pulley is what allowed me to unscrew it. well, is there a tutorial on how to download pics here? I have tried with Photobuckets and it says it is forbidden...
  11. Do any of you guys know how to remove the water pulley big nut? I can't fine a way to jam it so I can untight it...
  12. nice to know! It must be a pretty significant library... but once again it is in California! Peugeot must have had a good ground in CA...
  13. Hi fellow members... I decided to go ahead and rebuild my diesel engine. It has oil leak difficult to see, an original clutch to replace and almost 300 miles. I have hesitated for a long time because I am afraid it might never restart again once I dismantle it. But I figure I would learn a lot about the Indenor and I hope to have you guys help if I ever get stuck... I have taken lost of pictures before and after. the engine is out of the car and doing some cleaning
